Hello Birders:
Sorry, everyone. Here's a correction to my post. FRS channels on the
new combined FRS radios are Channels 8 (not 7) through 14. This gives
7 channels w/ 38 codes each, yielding 266 possible frequencies to use.

Subject: FRS Radios

| Hi Tweets:
| Yesterday I received my new FRS radios (I lost some recently) from
| Best Buy by mail. They are the good kind with 22 channels and 38
| codes for each channel. These new radios are FRS/GMRS so we who
only
| use FRS (does not require a $75!!! dollar licence from the FCC for
| General Mobile Radio Service) can only use channels 7-14, w/ 38
codes
| for each of these channels. But that still gives us a lot of
channels
| (actually 266 choices)
| which include chan 11, code 22 the universal birder's channel.
