The "Deno Road" Upland Sandpiper is on my in-law's ranch and according to them they have only seen one bird at a time. But they are not birders and haven't searched for the birds at all. They have just noticed a single bird at a time at various locations across approximately a thousand acres. Seems a bit unusual that a bird that did not find a mate would return to the same spot three years in a row.
