tweeters,

Does a juvenile house sparrow look anything like a black capped chickadee to
the uninformed eye? (mine being the uniformed eye)

I was watching my bird feeder and there appeared to be chickadees feeding at
my platform feeder, next to a house sparrow, suddenly the house sparrow
started putting food in one of the birds mouth. the bird in question is
small and round and the primary feathers were quite long and gray ( they
seemed longer than the body and kind of stuck out), there was brown on the
top of the back ,Black on the neck and the crown and a white stripe on the
eye. The beak was small and thin I can't recall the color now. the
underneath was creamy and gray. Also I noticed when they were perching they
were shaking almost vibrating their primary feathers. I was very excited to
watch it all, when suddenly two of these small birds came and perched on the
edge of the window right in front of my four year old son, we were ecstatic.
It was very cool. So Does any one know what bird I was looking at? I checked
on Google images and could not find a picture of a juvenile house sparrow.

Thank you,

Melissa Nelson
