Regarding Nancy's query of the man with the many hummers in his yard: Last
Saturday evening on Northwest BackRoads program on TV they had an segment
about a gentleman in the Walla Walla area that feeds hummers. The program
claimed he had around 200 hummers coming in at any given time but they did
not mention if that was during the migration times or not. It mentioned
that people would come and spend the evening hours at his place watching the
birds feeding. It also mentioned that he had calliope, black-chinned,
rufuous and Anna's species coming in to feed.

The program also had a segment about the Audubon center in Leavenworth and
the bluebird nest box program they have. I only recall it as my mom called
me to let me know the program was on TV.
