Hi Tweets,

I spent a few hours this morning before the heat arrived to check out some
shorebird locations for early migrants.
There were few shorebird migrants to be found, though I did manage to
locate 21 Western Sandpipers at Perch Point on Potholes Reservoir and
another 3 at East Beach on Soap Lake. Also present at Soap Lake were 3
Greater Yellowlegs.
Other interesting sightings were: an albino Mourning Dove along Frenchman
Hills Road near its intersection with SR-262, a Peregrine Falcon at the
south end of Lake Lenore which carried prey to an aerie on the west side of
the lake, and a pair of Red-necked Grebes nesting at the north end of Alkali
Lake.

Cheers
