Hi Tweets...I have been regularly watching the activity at an osprey nest at
the Hoquiam STP and today watched one of the adults deliver a snake to the
nest! What the....?

I was under the impression they ate only fish! Is this behavior due to the
large size of the young osprey and the need to keep it fed? This young bird
has fledged but is still being fed by the adults. It took an earlier small
fish from one of the adults and immediately flew with it to the next pole
and ate it, calling and doing the begging routine with it's wings the whole
time it was eating. I felt sorry for the parents!

Great show, though.
