Greetings all,

As of 11 AM today, Sunday, June 27th, the Alder Flycatcher was alive and well near the boat ramp in Marblemount.

After laying low for over a half hour, he(she?) finally graced us with her presence and made several appearances over the next 45 minutes while we were there. John English and I headed up from Tacoma at about 5 AM and were beaten to the site by a couple of birders from Bellingham. While we were there, no less than 12 other birders arrived to see our visitor. A special bonus was some nice looks at a Lazuli Bunting near the Alder Fly, and the immature male Redstart is still present at the Newhalem (Aggregate) Ponds west of Newhalem.

A fun day!

-Rolan
