My farmer brother-in-law keeps threatening to kill the barn swallows which have made a nest above their kitchen window. I told my sister how they eat tons of bugs. (That plus the fact my BIL enjoys watching the swallow divebomb the mockingbird is all that keeps them off Death Row for the moment). Anyone have a statistic for just how much each one eats?
