Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday July 1. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at
503-233-3976.

The HOODED ORIOLE visiting a feeder in Central Point continues to be seen.
If interested is seeing the bird call Barbara Kleine at 664-7813. On June 24
a ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was east of Brookings.

The fall shorebird migration has begun with LEAST and WESTERN SANDPIPERS,
and GREATER and LESSER YELLOWLEGS reported from many areas during the week..

On June 24 a FRANKLIN?S GULL was at Gold Beach. Two COMMON LOONS and two
WESTERN GREBES were seen June 26 on Hagg Lake in Scoggins Valley Park south
of forest Grove. Two adult EARED GREBES were seen June 26 at Ankeny NWR. On
June 24 a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was in Corvallis. On June 26 a
MOCKINGBIRD was near Creswell.

On June 25 a VEERY was at Indian Ford Campground. On June 27 a LEAST
FLYCATCHER was at the Cold Springs NWR near Hermiston.
