This afternoon I saw my first Turkey Vulture of the year just east of I-5
south of Castle Rock, Cowlitz County. This side ridge is always good for
vultures during the summer. Wonder if this bird is just moving through or
came early to stake out it's claim. The birds sure looked good after seeing
all the ratty ones I saw last fall. All feathers present!
