Do Rufous Hummers sip Indian Plum necter? We live in Renton and our weather is usually 10 to 20 degrees colder than Seattle or along the coast. The Indian Plum is usually the first to leaf and blossom here. Our red flowering currant is not blooming yet but should be out in a week or two.

We have a pair of hummers that visit each year and the male usually arrives from early to mid March, but he has not shown up yet. I always look forward to their return.
