Dear Tweeters,

I was also in the class that saw the goose with the fleshy pink legs and
black tip on its pinkish bill.

Let me add that it was about the size of a Canada Goose but its bill was
wider and longer. Like a Greater White-fronted Goose, it had white
stripe at the base of its bill and a white ring around its eye. (I
didn't see an orangey inner eye ring though.) The eye was dark. The
body looked like the body of a Greater White-fronted Goose
(grayish-brown with black bars underneath,some white along the wings)
and it had the same stripey-looking neck (with a little white mottling
on the back of the neck). Some of the head was as dark as a Greater
White-fronted goose but it had a definite, much lighter gray-brown chin
strap. When it bent down to eat, the underbody was white. There were
also what appeared to be white edges to the tail feathers.

Like Megan, I'm curious to know what the bird is and appreciate your help.
