This is old news to those who check the OBOL, but the Falcated Duck has been
relocated in Oregon. For those who missed the Samish bird this is your
chance! Probably one that won't come again anytime soon, although that makes
3 or 4 birds in the last few years on the west coast, hopefully we're seeing
a pattern of vagrancy beginning. For those who did see the Samish bird, and
have some spare time, go see another one!! If you've got loads of time then
you could also check out that Costa's reported in Vancouver, the Lucy's
Warbler in Brookings and the Whooper Swan in the Klamath area. From there
it's a hop-skip-and-jump to Yellow-billed Magpie, California Thrasher. And
from there Black Rail is so very close. And from there...
