Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
recording was made Thursday March 11. If you have anything to add call Harry

The FALCATED DUCK continues to be seen on Kirk Pond near the Fern Ridge Dam..
The LUCY?S WARBLER is still coming to Sheila Chambers hummingbird feeder in
Brookings. The SLATY-BACKED GULL is back along Wireless Road near Astoria.
A female COSTA?S HUMMINGBIRD was reported during the week in Vancouver. A
CARDINAL was seen during the week in Gresham, but is moving around quite a
bit and is not dependable.
RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS are now being seen throughout Western Oregon. TREE
SWALLOWS are now back in numbers, VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS are now increasing.
On March 9 a SAY?S PHOEBE was in North Portland. A flock of DUNLIN, a LESSER
YELLOWLEGS, and three GREATER YELLOWLEGS were at the Fernhill Wetlands March
9. A LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE was at Ankeny NWR March 6.
SAY?S PHOEBES, SPOTTED TOWHEES, SAVANNAH SPARROWS, and WESTERN BLUEBIRDS
returned to southeastern Oregon during the week.
