Hi Tweets:
Everyone is noting new arrivals so thought that I might as well do likewise. This morning, March 12, on the Yakima River delta were our first Cinnamon teal, a very pretty male, and an American avocet, also exceptionally gorgeous. Also present, but not new for the year, were four Greater yellowlegs.
A couple days ago my wife and I birded the Vantage area and found at least five Say's phoebes, five Mountain bluebirds, several Sage sparrows, and heard some Chukars calling along the Wanapum Rd. south of Vantage. I think spring has sprung.
