When I lived in Reardon my house was way out in the country. One day while outside I kept hearing the gate creaking, but it wasn't moving. I checked the old wooden door to the root cellar and the door to the shed but they weren't moving either. I still kept hearing that creaking gate. Movement in the big tree in front of the house caught my eye and there was a starling, imitating the sound of the creaking gate. I'd always heard they were great mimics and this one had that sound down perfectly!
