Greetings All

I'd have to say THE book on bird migration is Peter Berthold's Bird
Migration: A general survey, 2nd ed, published by Oxford University Press. It is a
careful survey of a broad spectrum of theories re: migration, with many specific
studies given as examples. My only complete is that it is eurocentric. The book
is somewhat technical, but most birders should understand it.

Gathering of Angels by Kenneth Able is a simpler read, but worth the time and
focuses on American birds. This is less technical and less comprehensive, but
still informative and fun.

I found Paul Kerlinger's How Bird's Migrate to be somewhat disappointing, but
has some useful info.

Cheers
