Hello Tweeters,
When I was driving through Port Gamble on Sunday, March 14, I think I saw an
osprey perched on a snag near the osprey platform just south of the
"developed" part of town and to the west of the highway. I was in a moving
car, so I can't swear to the sighting, but I'm pretty confident it was an
early osprey (I've been on the lookout for them there.)

Today, March 16th, there was an Osprey at the Purdy (Pierce Co., WA) power
tower nest. In 16 years of watching this nest, this is the earliest I have
ever seen one arrive, the usual arrival date being March 23rd.
