Subject: some fun birds in Sedro-Woolley

Dear Tweeters,

As I stepped into the schoolhouse in Sedro-Woolley
today, I heard the calls of Tundra Swans. Nineteen of
them were circling around the area, calling. I have
seen a similar flock on one occasion up in Concrete,
but otherwise, I have seen Tundras only on the flats
to the west of there.

Also flying over the schoolyard was a Merlin, a bird
that shows up around the fringes of Sedro-Woolley
quite often, but always a thrill.

=====

Yours truly,
