Sightings for March 19

Two EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL were seen from Elgin Heritage
Park, off Crescent Road in Surrey.

At the foot of 112th Street at Boundary Bay, Delta, was 1 SHORT-EARED
OWL.

At the Reifel Bird Sanctuary in Delta were an AMERICAN BITTERN
and a RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD.


Sightings for March 18

2 AMERICAN AVOCETS continue at the mouth of Serpentine River on
Mud Bay in Surrey. Access is from Mud Bay Park, off Colebrook Road.

>From Colony Farm in Port Coquitlam, a BARN OWL was seen, but
no sign of the GREAT GRAY OWL.


Sightings for March 17

The WESTERN SCRUB-JAY continues its long stay at 4126 River
Road in Delta. It came to the feeder today at 6:50 am.


Sightings for March 16

At Elgin Heritage Park off Crescent Road in Surrey, a EURASIAN
GREEN-WINGED TEAL and a CINNAMON TEAL were seen.


Sightings for March 15

The ROCK SANDPIPER was once again seen on the low tide
at Lighthouse Marine Park, Point Roberts, Washington, in the
company of 25 BLACK TURNSTONES. Also here were 2
RHINOCEROS AUKLETS and 6 LONG-TAILED DUCKS, and about
30 BRANDT'S CORMORANTS flew by.

At the White Rock pier, a MARBLED MURRELET was sighted.

A NORTHERN GOSHAWK was seen near Green Timbers Park, Surrey


Sightings for March 14

The ROCK SANDPIPER was seen again at Lighthouse Marine Park,
Point Roberts, with BLACK TURNSTONES near the lighthouse at
5:30 PM on the low tide.

The two wintering AMERICAN AVOCETS were seen again at the mouth
of the Serpentine River in Surrey (accessed from Mud Bay Park off
Colebrook Road).

The first RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD of the spring was seen at a Vancouver
feeder today.


Sightings for March 13

The GREAT GRAY OWL was seen again near the duck pond at
Colony Farm, west from Shaughnessy Street in Port Coquitlam.

The ROCK SANDPIPER was reported from Lighthouse Marine Park
at Point Roberts, Washington.

An AMERICAN KESTREL was seen at the intersection of 28th Avenue and
Arthur Drive in Delta, south of Ladner.

A GREAT HORNED OWL was seen at Beach Grove Park in Delta.

Along the Tsawwassen ferry jetty, Delta, were a WILLET and 5 BLACK
OYSTERCATCHERS.

The 2 AMERICAN AVOCETS were still at the mouth of the Serpentine River
on Mud Bay in Surrey.

Seven TREE SWALLOWS were seen at Boundary Bay Regional Park in
Delta, as were a SHORT-EARED OWL and a NORTHERN SHRIKE.

Seen at the Reifel Bird Sanctuary in Delta were a NORTHERN SAW-WHET
OWL and a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON.
