Real quiet lately, even up in Skagit-Samish, but I did hear two Pugetensis
White-crowned Sparrows near the Starbucks at 116th and I-5 in Marysville
yesterday, March 19. That was a bit earlier than usual for the first song.
Then March 15 we had out first Violet-green Swallows over our place on Lake
Stevens, about on time. I also saw the very accompdating Gyr at the W-90 on
Saturday, March 13, on a quick stop; there were three Harlan's type
Red-tails in the area, along with the usual cast of characters (harriers, a
SE Owl, etc.). Graysmarsh should be more interesting this weekend.
