Hello Tweets,

This morning my mother my mother and I observed a few more signs of spring, specifically in our Fircrest yard(near Tacoma in Pierce Co.)with a Turkey Vulture flying over our home flying north towards North Tacoma. We also observed a returning pair of Violet-green Swallows at our nestbox and flying low overhead,so perhaps they may begin to breed soon. Another yard highlight we observed in our yard was a single singing female Purple Finch perched in our Paper Birch tree in our front yard, which is not an annual species for our yard. We also have a Red-breasted Sapsucker visiting sap wells on a birch tree in our neighbor's yard, which we can see from our yard and has been present for the last 3 days.

Good yard birding,
