Subject: Blue Jay sighting in Okanogan Co.
Date: Mar 24 15:18:00 2004
From: Dennis Paulson - dpaulson at ups.edu

Mike Lundstrom of Brewster, WA, sent me this sighting of a Blue Jay,
seen on March 17, 2004, at 2:55 pm.

Two-and-a-half miles West of Malott on Highway 97A (Old 97). There are farm
houses on both sides of the road with adjacent orchards. The Okanogan River
is less than one mile away.

Facial markings and crest made for an easy identification. I also observed
white on the end of the tail and on the tips of the secondary flight feathers
when the critter was in flight.
