Hello All,
Well this years Crane Fest is over and the wind has stopped. All tours were full and a great time was had by 99.95% of the participants. The city of Othello, the staff of the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge and the Othello Sandhill Crane Fest. Committee must be given a huge THANK-YOU for organizing this outstanding bird centered community festival! The addition of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bateman to this years festival was the frosting on a already super cake. The bird species observed and the list of unusual species added spice to the thousands of cranes present. Tri-colored Blackbirds numbered 30-40 birds. A lone Snow Goose and 50,000 Canda Geese plus a lone Tundra Swan was fun to see.
