Lisa Hardy reports a male TUFTED DUCK on the flooded fields near Cataldo,
Kootenai Co ID. This is the same location as year's sighting. First seen on
9 Mar, Lisa reports seeing it on 27 Mar. To get there, take I-90 exit 34
(Rose Lake), turn north to the T intersection and turn right onto Canyon
Road. Go 1.9 miles, turn right onto River Road. After you go over the
interstate, turn right (downhill) onto the graveled River Road. River Road
runs south along the edge of the flooded fields that are west of Tamarack
Ridge; these fields can be seen from the interstate. Very roughly a mile
past the turn onto gravel, you will see an open pasture on the left, and a
street sign "Allgood Ct.". Start looking and good luck. ID DeLorme 60, B-3.

RUSTY BLACKBIRDS were reported south of Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai Co ID on 27
and 28 Mar. Matthew Moskwik reported 2 male birds on Saturday, and Gina
Sheridan found a single male on the 28th. The birds were seen in the large
elk enclosures just north of the landfill along US 95, about 10 miles south
of CdA. The best place to park on US 95 is the wide shoulder on south end of
the Bellgrove Creek Bridge along the northbound lane. Watch for deep loose
gravel. ID DeLorme 60, B-1.

The BLUE JAY is persisting at the feeder of Dave Holick northeast of Moscow,
ID. This bird has been around for 4+ months. If you want to try for it, give
Dave a call at 208.882.5556.

Charles Swift reports the east side Moscow, Latah Co ID BLUE JAY is still
persisting as well. It is most easily found between in the area bordered by
Sixth, Eighth, Hayes, and Logan streets. It can often be heard from several
blocks away.
