Hi tweeters,

I saw my first bullock's oriole of the year at Terminal 105, Public
Access, Seattle. It was my first time there, too, and kind of neat--I
saw a baby killdeer, too, and plenty of swallows, some least sandpipers,
what looked like a lesser yellowlegs, and a Caspian tern. 30 species in
all. There was also a lone odd goose: its body was like a greater
white-fronted goose, shorter neck, kind of dumpy, white rear-end, not
quite dumpy enough for a domestic, I don't think. It was pale below,
fairly evenly colored like a graylag on its body, orange legs, and a dark
beak, high bridged, with a white ring around it--and its head and neck
were wacky mottled. Like scribbling, or t.v. fuzz. What the? And it
was alone. Hybrid?

happy birding,
