Made our first trip to New England last week-or, more properly, some
Mid-Atlantic and New England states (upstate N.Y, Vermont, Mass. and
Connecticut); and of course I was all a-twitter (hah) to see birds I'd never
seen before.

Saw: house sparrows, house finches, crows, starlings, and rock doves...oh,
and one wise old wild turkey watching us zoom by on the Mass Pike.

We didn't have time to make any birding stops, but I thought I'd see
cardinals, blue jays, and rose breasted grosbeaks at least, just hanging
around people's yards.

Next time I'll go prepared.
