Hi Tweeters,

On April 27 when I was in Texas I found a flock of 100 or so Fulvous Whistling-Ducks with one with aberrant plumage. The black feathers were normal but the rest of the duck was quite white. Photos of it can be seen in the Texas Birds folder on my website (link is in the signature box).

I sent a photo to Mark Lockwood, who writes the Texas report for North American Birds and who is also the secretary of the Texas Bird Records Committee. He sent it to several other people. They all said they have never seen a FUWD with this aberrant plumage.

I am wondering if any Tweets have seen or heard of this type of plumage in a FUWD.
