Wednesday 4/7 7:38pm. Tom Aversa reporting on a trip today down to Grays Harbor Co. The PINK FOOTED GOOSE is still in the Brady Loop area, also a late ROUGH LEGGED HAWK in that area. Down at Bottle Beach there are already some SHORT BILLED DOWITCHERS arriving and across the street in the fresh water wetland there was an intergrade common GREEN WINGED TEAL.

Thursday 4/8 9:30pm. My name is Stan Nelson. I live in the North Beach area in Seattle. Today I saw a RAVEN that was sitting in a tree close to the house. There was a lot of crows around dive bombing him. They were squawking and he was there for about 15 minutes and then he flew away. I was just wondering if anybody else has seen ravens around town and if I could get a comment from anybody. 206 782 0793.

Saturday 4/10 9:06pm. This is Rachel Lawson, Birdbox System Admin. Today Michael Fleming, 206 297 3234, reports from Discovery Park in Seattle that he saw a pair of COOPER'S HAWKS, 3 TOWNSENDS SOLITAIRES, a BARRED OWL, an OSPREY, and down at the west point lighthouse, 2 RHINOCEROUS AUKLETS.

Monday 4/12 8:44pm. My name is Doug Smith and I live in Maple Valley and on Saturday 4/10 and today, both days we've had 2 NORTHERN BOBWHITES at our feeders, a male and a female.

Monday 4/12 3:14 pm. Hi this is Greg Toffic. This morning on Fir Island at the game range there was a singing WHITE THROATED SPARROW, white stripe form, very brightly plumaged, very nice looking bird. It was about 100 yards out on the dike trail from the boat launch parking lot.

Thursday 4/15 1:34pm. My name is Doug Smith. I live north of Maple Valley up by Lake Francis and we've had multiple sightings of the NORTHERN BOB WHITE at our feeder. And today the male and female were both in our yard. If you're curious about this, please give me a call, 425 413 7420.

Saturday 4/17 4:10pm. This is Michael Fleming, 206 297 3234. Did some birding today at Discovery Park. Highlights included BLACK THROATED GRAY WARBLER and ORANGE CROWNED WARBLER in the area right behind the visitor's center. Also had HERMIT THRUSH there. And down along the north beach had a pair of MARBLED MURRELETS. Good luck and good birding.

Tuesday 4/20 4:37am. This is Tom Aversa reporting on a trip to Regile Vancouver area. There was a BRANT in with the CACKLING GEESE on Lower River Road and also a EURASIAN WIDGEON down there at Post Office Lake.

Tuesday 4/20 9:23am. This is Vic Nelson. Today at Point No Point at the NE tip of the Kitsap peninsula I saw an adult LITTLE GULL at about 9:00am. It's in with about 3000 BONAPARTE gulls. The best time to see this gull is probably in the mornings between about 9 and noon for the next 2 or 3 days on the out tide.

Tuesday, 4/20, 5:59pm. Yes, hello this is Brad Waggoner, 206 780 9581. This is a followup report on Vic Nelson's report on the LITTLE GULL. I also re-found the gull later on at about 11 and til about noon was able to see it out at Point No Point. So I think Vic is spot on as far as the timing to go see the gull and I appreciate his report, and here's a follow-up one.

Wednesday 4/28 8:22pm. Hi, this is Tom Aversa reporting on a trip to the Vancouver / Ridgefield area today. Highlights included a breeding plumage CLARK'S GREBE at Vancouver Lake. Also an early BULLOCK'S ORIOLE there. And an EURASIAN WIDGEON and 14 REDHEADS at Post Office lake. And in Woodland on Wayland Road at the wetland there were a couple of SOLITARY SANDPIPERS.

Friday 4/30 5:17pm. Hi, this is Greg Toffic. Recently I've been having trouble with the cell phone leaving garbled messages on the Birdbox so this time I've tried taking a Campbell's Soup can and tying it to the phone box with a piece of string. I hope that it's clearer. Birding this afernoon in Monroe at the Frylands Blvd lake or pond just west of Monroe there were 2 WESTERN KINGBIRDS along the telephone line on the west side of this lake. This has been the very same location that WESTERN KINGBIRDS have nested in the past 2 years. Also at the Monroe Two Rivers unit there was the first BULLOCKS ORIOLE of the year that I've seen and heard. I hope that this was a clear message, and thanks to Campbell Soup.
