I'm sure no one is dying to know what is going on in my yard, but I figure I might as well post about it. Ever since this Thursday we have had at least (probably more moving through) 3 Wilson's Warbler individuals and 2 Orange-Crowned Warblers just in the plum tree outside the kitchen window. I've been able to watch them flit around catching insects while I eat my cereal each morning for the last few days. Until this year I have never noticed a lot of warblers in my yard, only one or two a year in spring. With the 5 or more individuals this year, it's been pretty cool. Its hard to determine whether I just wasn't paying attention before, our yard has become a better stop over, or if this is just by chance.
Also today when I was working at a house in Meadowdale I saw/heard a lot of birds including: Black-headed Grosbeaks, Western Tanagers, Wilson's Warbler, Swainson's Thrush, and Yellow Warbler.
Anyway, just my thoughts for the day.
