I went out to Llama Lake yesterday and had a few highlights. There were
two GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE hanging out with (and at times being
aggressive towards) a group of about 12 CANADA GEESE. Plus, the SPOTTED
SANDPIPERS have returned and there were two at the lake yesterday. On
Wednesday, Lou Ann Harris and others sighted a LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER, which
didn't stick around long enough for me to see. Finally, on Thursday, I had
a five swallow day, including the first CLIFF SWALLOW I have seen at the
lake this year.

I will be adding the pics of the GWFG to the Llama Lake website later on
today, but until then, I have posted some pretty good shots of the Solitary
Sandpiper that was present last week, that can be seen at:

I also wanted to mention that I learned last week that the developers of
the area surrounding Llama Lake have decided to rename the lake to "Grassies
Lake" but I am refusing to call it by its new name. Llama Lake Forever!
