Sat. 5/8/04, Jennifer (I'm sorry, I don't know your last name!) and I saw two Clark's Grebe from the parking area by the train tracks at Carkeek. The pair was surprisingly close to shore, feeding and head bobbing around 5 p.m. The white around the eyes was visible with the naked eye, although we enjoyed scoping them and watching them and other grebes for about 45 minutes.

Sorry I couldn't get to this sooner-due to foot and lower leg swelling that prevents me from sitting up at my computer.
