A VAUX'S SWIFT was seen above the 700 block of Erminskin Road in Parksville.

Monday May 10:
A SWAINSON'S THRUSH was seen near lot 88 at Kayes Road in Parksville.
WILSON'S WARBLERS were seen along the north trail in McGregor Marsh in north Nanaimo.

Sunday May 09:
The Sunday bird walk to the Beaver Ponds at Nanoose Bay tallied a total of forty-five species,

Saturday May 08:
"RARE BIRD ALERT"
The GREAT EGRET was seen along the rivers edge near the viewing tower off Plummer Road at the Englishman River Estuary in Parksville..
An OLIVED-SIDED FLYCATCHER, a WARBLING VIREO and MacGILLIVRAY'S WARBLERS were seen near lot 107 in Rivers Edge subdivision off Kayes Road in Parksville.
WESTERN TANAGERS were seen in the 5000 block of Vista View and along the 2400 block of Marlborough Drive in Nanaimo.

Friday May 07:
"RARE BIRD ALERT"
A GREAT EGRET was seen flying near the "A" frame house at the Little Qualicum River Estuary.
A female BULLOCK'S ORIOLE was spotted near the old foundation at Buttertubs Marsh in Nanaimo.
Over ten SAVANNAH SPARROWS and thirty AMERICAN GOLDFINCH have been coming to feeders in the 140 block of Cooper Place in Parksville.
WESTERN TANAGERS were seen in the 3200 block of Stony Ridge in Edgewater Townhouse area above Departure Bay Road and at the Brannen Lake Boat Ramp in north Nanaimo.
BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS were seen along Tansy Road on Gabriola Island.
Two PURPLE MARTINS were seen at the Nanoose Estuary in Nanoose Bay.
Thursday May 06:
Five BAND-TAILED PIGEONS were seen in Aspen trees in the 140 block of Cooper Place in Parksville.
A BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS were spotted in the Cather's Landing area of Nanaimo.
HOUSE FINCH fledgings were seen near the Pacific Biological Station along Departure Bay Road in Nanaimo.
A SWAINSON'S THRUSH was sighted along the Cable Bay Trail in Cedar.
Wednesday May 05:
Seven KILLDEER, a SEMIPLAMATED PLOVER, thirty WESTERN SANDPIPERS and three Least Sandpipers were seen at the Englishman River Estuary.
