While on a "Lewis and Clark on the Columbia River" history adventure this weekend with the Washington State Historical Society we had a short 1 hour to do some birding.

Location - road between Skamokawa, Wa. and the Julia Butler Hansen NWR.

Birds spotted - Common Yellowthroat, Wilson?s Warbler, Great Blue Heron, Steller?s Jay, Purple Martin, Violet Green Swallow, Osprey, Euro. Starling, Belted Kingfisher, White-crowned Sparrow, House Sparrow, Mallard, Yellow Warbler, American Robin, Western Tanager, Cedar Waxwing, Rufous Hummingbird, American Crow, Bewick?s Wren, Olive-sided Flycatcher, Bald Eagle, Tree Swallow, Townsend?s Warbler, American Goldfinch, Black-throated Gray Warbler, Hammond?s Flycatcher, Purple Finch, Pacific-slope Flycatcher, Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Vaux?s swift and Black-headed Grosbeak.
