On May 15 a FLESH-FOOTED SHEARWATER was 20 miles west of Newport. On May 16
a BURROWING OWL was on the beach at Roads End in north Lincoln city. The
first HEERMANN?S GULLS were reported during the week from Boiler Bay and
Gearhart. On May 18 a PARASITIC JEAGER and FRANKLIN?S GULL were at Boiler
Bay, and a PARASITIC JAEGER and a GLAUCOUS GULL were at the South Jetty of
the Columbia river.

An unusually large number of WESTERN KINGBIRDS were reported from many parts
of the Portland Metro area during the week, with the Sandy River Delta alone
hosting 17 birds on May 16. On May 18 two FORSTER?S TERNS were at the
Fernhill Wetlands. On May 16, 24 BLACK-NECKED STILTS were at the Farmer Road
marsh near Baskett Slough NWR. WHITE PELICANS at Fern Ridge Reservoir now

That?s it for this week.
