Hi Tweeters -
I made a short visit to the Boeing Ponds and the Green River Nat.
Area today between ~11:30 and 1:00.

Notable sightings:
RED-NECKED PHALAROPE - one in beautiful breeding plumage at the
Boeing Ponds. It seemed to stick close to some ducklings, which
surprisingly worked in keeping it inconspicuous [to me at least] for
a bit.

AMERICAN AVOCET - 1 in the 'back' pond, furthest away from the
parking area on 59th.

Also present: ~6 SPOTTED SANDPIPERS, and many Killdeer

Over at the GRNA, I entered the trails from the west side of the
fields [off Frager or Russell Rd.] and found a singing LAZULI BUNTING
perched up on a snag. It was on a snag close to the tallest of the
observation towers. If you get to that tower, look for a short spur
trail a little north of the tower, and check the snags & bushes
around there.

Otherwise, the area was mostly filled with Sav.Sparrows,
Co.Yellowthroats, Marsh Wrens & Starlings.
