also at the montlake fill this morning:

blue-winged teals
green-winged teals
northern shovelers (mostly male)
bufflehead females
tons of canada geese, including one family with goslings

cliff, barn, tree swallows, and possibly a violet-green (if it was, it was
the only we saw)...

we were looking for the sandpipers and pipits supposedly seen recently, but
not a one in sight... we did see numerous bald eagles, however, including
three that chittered at each other about 200 feet up before each going their
own way...
