Hi Tweets,

?Today I saw...? (that line is just for you Martyn) the Kent (Boeing Ponds)
American Avocet reported earlier by Matt Bartels. It was in the same place
around 5:30PM as when Matt found it at mid-day. Didn?t have any bins with
me, but I wanted to see if it was still there, and at least an avocet is an
easy naked-eye ID!

Unfortunately if anyone needs directions I can?t tell you the exact roads at
the ponds ? some are new and not in my Thomas Guide.

In a nutshell I can say to take the S. 188th/Orillia Rd. exit from I-5 and
go left onto Orillia Rd. This goes under I-5 and into the valley. Before the
very bottom of the hill go left on 200th, follow it across the Green River
and then you?ll be on your own. Head towards the near corner (NW corner) of
the Boeing facility and look for the ponds. The avocet was still on the
back, small pond.

Good birding,

Jim Flynn
