Good morning Tweets,

I stood in the rain for an hour yesterday morning between 8 and 9 watching
the new gourds on the pilings between the ferry dock and the fishing pier
with no sign of Martin activity. This morning I arrived at Olympic Beach
at 7:50. One pair of Martins was perched on rebar on the closest pilings.
A male was perched on rebar on the furthest piling that supports one gourd.
A few minutes later the female emerged from that gourd. The male flew over
to the other pilings and perched with the pair. The female took his place
on the rebar above their gourd.

Good birding,

Carol Riddell
