Tweeters;
My wife and I went out to Dungeness Bay today. There were 13 Whimbrel at
Dungeness Landing CP (Oyster House), a male Wilson's Phalarope at Helen's
Pond (the horse pond), 5 Pectoral Sandpipers, 2 Least Sandpipers and 5
dowitchers. The phalarope and the pectorals were actually in the small wet
area just east of the main horse pond at first but then flew to Helen's
Pond. The dowitchers confused me -- once again -- they had whitish bellies
and so I thought they were SB's but I was able to walk very close to them
and one flew giving the LB keek two times. It then flew back with the other
four and I could not visually separate it from the others. Any words of
wisdom from anybody out there?
