The female robin that started building multiple nests in our veranda rafters is now up to 16. She appears to be working alone. It was suggested by one Tweeter that she may be a young bird without a mate. Has anyone else seen this behavior? I was also concerned because the beam is narrow and open on both sides to a concrete patio 15' below.
Last year a junco built a nest there and a baby fell to its death.
