High Noon start - water level dropping quickly; mudflats being exposed with those to the south showing quite a bit
12:33pm end

Tweeters,
Clouds coming in, accompanied by a freshening westerly breeze, but still balmy along the river. Lots of American Crows and Rock Pigeons feeding on the mudflats. Big ticket item for me: CLIFF SWALLOWS, up to 6 visible at one time, were gathering mud from one of the south mudflats. Tried to follow them through bins but wasn't successful. I'll check a couple of the areas nearby to see where the colony is setting up house. Must be something about the mud in one small area that attracted them (given the plethora of other spots on this large mudbank) because they kept coming back to it.

Birds seen during this scan include the following:
Canada Goose (10)
Gadwall
Mallard (3)
Great Blue Heron
Osprey (2)
Killdeer
Glaucous-winged Gull (2)
Rock Pigeon (17)
American Crow (29)
Violet-green Swallow (3)
Cliff Swallow (6)
Bewick's Wren
European Starling (8)
Song Sparrow (4)
Red-winged Blackbird (2)
House Finch (4)
American Goldfinch (4)
House Sparrow (3)

May all your birds be identified,
