After a long dry spell of not getting into the field, Barb and I went for a
ride this evening looking for White-faced Ibis reported at Windmill Lake
(Seeps Wildlife Management Area). We did not find the ibis so on the way
back we stopped at Perch Point to look over the gulls that roost on the sand
bar jutting into Potholes Reservoir. Mixed in with the normal Ring-billed
Gulls were four Franklin's Gulls. A nice treat for a short evening drive.
