Mike and Mary Lilga had a WESTERN TANAGER in their Richland yard on May 2
and 3. On the 7th, Mary observed a GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW at their feeder.

On May 3, Bob Woodley found a LARK SPARROW along Horn Rapids Road. On the
4th, he saw a male WESTERN TANAGER in Groves Park in Richland and had a
CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD in his Richland yard.

On May 5, Charlotte Reep reported a WESTERN TANAGER and a RUFOUS
HUMMINGBIRD at the Vernita rest stop.

There was a BLUE-WINGED TEAL in a pond below the Desert Gold Motel on
Columbia Park Trail seen by Bob Derding on May 7.

Charlotte Reep observed a COMMON GOLDENEYE in Pasco along the Columbia
River on May 7.

There were 15 WHITE-FACED IBIS along Iverson Road off Highway 12 near
McNary National Wildlife Refuge on May 10 found by Dan Bowton.

Katie Harris found a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER on May 12 and a WILSON'S WARBLER on
May 18 in her Kennewick yard.

Jack and Murrel Dawson had a LARK SPARROW at their Benton City home on May 17.

On May 18, Charlotte Reep and others found 2 GRAY PARTRIDGE near the
airport and Sun Willows golf course in Pasco.

On May 21, Tony Greager found an adult male HARLEQUIN DUCK at the wildlife
park at McNary Dam. It was at a ditch with swift moving water flowing into
the Columbia River near the new blind.

Jack and Murrel Dawson observed 2 COMMON NIGHTHAWKS and a WESTERN
WOOD-PEWEE at Horn Rapids Park on May 21.

There was an interesting report of a WHITE-TAILED KITE seen during a survey
of the Lost Island Habitat Management Unit along the Snake River. Details
are being requested from the observers.

On May 22, Laurie Ness reported an EMPIDONAX flycatcher in her North
Richland yard.

On May 24, Jack and Murrel Dawson reported 2 fledgling SAY'S PHOEBES in
their Benton City yard.
