We stayed home today and I got to watch my own yard for a change and saw just fledged Blackcapped Chickadees, Spotted Towhees, Dark Eyed Juncos, Red Breasted Nuthatch and Pine Siskins, each where following an adult begging for seeds, insects or suet.

Another bonus was the Piliated Woodpecker working on an old stump in the dog yard, and a Male Bush Tit helping himself to water from the bird bath, don't think I have seen one stay that still for so long. The Hairy woodpecker was back after at least a week absence.

Our new young Douglass Squirrel was also busy keeping 3 Western Grey Squirrels away from the feeders.
