I have a Dark Eyed Oregon Junco coming to my feeders everyday, he is a pale adult male. I cannot see any leg on the right side, though he flies just fine. He hops around almost normally, you can spot him because he is slightly tilted when foraging. Could he have been born this way? I also have not seen him perch on a branch yet. I have been seeing him for almost 3 weeks now and hoping that he will survive the winter.

Anyone have a good survival story about a less then perfect bird?
