This is the Vancouver Natural History Society's Rare Bird Alert for
Wednesday, November 3rd, sponsored in part by Wild Birds Unlimited,
with stores in Vancouver and North Vancouver.

Featured bird is SNOWY OWL.

Sightings for Wednesday, November 3rd:

In Delta, the SNOWY OWL continues at Boundary Bay, present until
dusk on the foreshore west of 72nd, just before the greenhouses.
The ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER continues to be seen at 72nd street
hedgerow. At the south end of 34th, a NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen.

In Surrey, a GOLDEN EAGLE flew over 64th and 152nd street towards
the mound.

Reported from Reifel yesterday, was a SNOWY OWL seen on the
foreshore. Also seen at Reifel, were GYR FALCON, 4 SANDHILL CRANES,
BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON, 2 MOUNTAIN CHICKADEES, 9 BARN SWALLOWS,
and 200 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS.
