12:05pm start - Water level quite high with no mudflats visible (12:09pm
high tide - 11.1ft)
12:29pm end

Tweeters,
Cold, damp, still foggy, but clearing at Turning Basin #3. Quite a few
(compared with most days) Double-crested Cormorants flying by, but just
one preening atop a piling, and one actively hunting - total of 12. No
gillnets out; one kayaker paddled his way toward the restoration area.
Rock Pigeons (62 of 74 seen) were strung up on a power line to the south
of TB3.

Note: Another observer called me to step out to see the BALD EAGLE that
flew by at about 9:30am. I just missed it. I've not seen an eagle here
since mid-May, although they were seen by other observers further
downriver.

Birds seen during this scan include the following:
Mallard (2)
Double-crested Cormorant (12)
Great Blue Heron
Mew Gull
Glaucous-winged Gull (6)
Rock Pigeon (74)
American Crow (16)
European Starling
House Finch (4)
House Sparrow (3)

May all your birds be identified,

Denis DeSilvis
