Hello All,

This beautiful day we along with Paul Rossi birded western Walla Walla County. We located the following species.

Say's Phoebe......2 adults nw of Touchet, a few winter some years in this area.
Kriders Red-Tailed Hawk...1 ad along Detour Rd. 1-2 a year in this county during the winter months.
Harlans Red-tailed Hawk...1 ad. along Byrnes Rd.
Black morph Red-tailed Hawk....3 ad. birds

Walla Walla River delta

Black-bellied Plovers.......3 adults in winter basic..very late date for this location.
Least Sandpiper..............2 adults
Dunlin............................26 birds
Killdeer..........................7 birds
Stilt Sandpiper................1 adult, very late date
Long-billed Dowitcher..........6 birds
Prairie Falcon...................1 adult
Sharp-shinned Hawk..........1 adult
Long-tailed Duck.............1 adult male
Common Loon...................6 adults

Hood Park

Northern Flicker.....................60+ birds, this is the largest number ever located at this location.
Orange-crowned Warbler........2 birds
Red-breasted Nuthatch..........5 birds
Brown Creeper.......................3 birds
Sharp-shinned Hawk...............1 adult, took adult Cedar Waxwing.
Golden-crowned Kinglet..........2 adults
Wood Duck............................50+ birds
Downy Woodpecker.................1 adult female

OUTSTANDING DAY TO BE OUT BIRDING. We encountered no hunters and saw alot of birds.
