I believe we should feed the squirrels and the birds. We should feed the
alien squirrels TO the birds. We might solicit design ideas for squirrel
bird feeders. Here's my initial design idea:

Build a pen with an open top and glass walls (best for observation) or oiled
walls that are too slippery for these alien tree squirrels to climb and too
high to jump over with no way to burrow or chew out Place these pens in
view of good owl or raptor perches. Live trap the Eastern Gray and Fox
squirrels and place them in the pens. Peanuts and water could be added as
necessary to keep the squirrels happy and active until a happy owl or hawk
comes to your feeder. Owls can often easily be called in with your skillful
hooting or whistles to introduce the Owls to the feeder. If the feeder is
kept stocked with alien squirrels from the all of the nearby infested areas
your raptors of several species may learn to come to your feeder for regular
meals. Norway rats could also be used to stock the feeders. I look forward
to seeing postings on Tweeters of everyone's feeder bird lists.
